Our District is governed by a 5-member board of directors who are elected to serve by the people. Board members serve three (3) year terms.
Our current Board of Directors are:
Chair - Ron Kowitz, Precinct 1
Vice-Chair - Brent Smith, Precinct 5
Director - Terry Short, Precinct 2
Director - Luke McCall, Precinct 3
Director - Josh Kowitz, Precinct 4
Elections
Being on the MID Board of Directors is a chance to improve the way irrigation happens in your community. The process is quite simple, with just a few qualifications that need to be met.
Applicant must own (and provide the deed for) property in the precinct.
Applicant must meet the qualifications detailed in Idaho Code § 43-111
Applicants must be residents of the precinct they hope to represent.
They must meet these requirements as of the date of the election.
Applicants will need to sign a Nominee's Oath along with a Nominee Petition that must be returned to the office at the specified date.
The election cycle is:
2026 - Precincts 1 & 3
2024- Precinct 2
2025 - Precincts 4 & 5.
